Ottawa Improv Embassy: Advanced Jam Do Scenes Get Notes
Do scenes and get notes! After energizing warmups, you’ll perform scenes and receive feedback from the facilitator.
This is for Longform 201 grads and above, or equivalent experience (drop us a line if you're unclear). This jam is designed to give you personalized feedback and suggestions that can you help improve and vary your scene-work and that you can carry into your next performance.

Curious about improv? Ready to shake up your routine, have tons of fun and spark creativity? This 2-hour workshop is a playful, no-pressure intro. You’ll jump into easy, interactive exercises and try out a few improv games with the support of our friendly facilitators. No experience needed—just a willingness to laugh, experiment, and connect with others. By the end, you’ll have a taste of improv’s magic, a few new friends, and maybe even the inspiration to join us for more.
NOTE: although this Jam is set up specifically for those new or new-ish to improv, all Community members are welcome. If you're an experienced improviser it is a good idea to play with new people as a way of strengthening your skills. Attendees must be 18+.

The Improv Embassy: Musical Improv Jam Presented By BELT Improv
Join BELT’s Frederick and Chelsea for a fun musical improv jam that will focus on getting you comfortable singing on the spot in front of others. The jam will be a mix of musical improv games and exercises with plenty of opportunity to try things out. Jam participants may also have the opportunity to perform at a Musical Improv show on Nov 27th.
If you are an experienced musician looking to try out accompanying musical improvisers you are welcome as well! We will have a keyboard setup but feel free to bring other instruments (no technical setups please).
Improv experience is required but absolutely no musical/singing experience is necessary.
This workshop lasts 2 hours with a brief break.
Bring a water bottle and something to take notes.

Wayward Improv: Wheel of Whatever All Levels Jam
At the Wheel of Whatever, each week* is a new theme! This week's is: All-Levels Jam!
Join Claire Biddiscombe, our Director of Education, and Rich Hilborn, our Director of Community, for a structured jam focused on a fundamental improv concept: play! We'll spend the first half of the jam running some exercises and games that tap into your playful, fearless side and the second half putting those skills into practice in scenes. All levels welcome!
The Wheel of Whatever is always Pay-What-You-Can, but a recommended donation is $5 to cover room rental fees or $10 to support WIT and making improv accessible in Ottawa.
