Before I leave the city, I’m gathering the people who shaped my improv journey for one night of unrepeatable theatre!It’s a celebration of comedy, sincerity, and the kind of generous, unforgettable love this community showed me!Performers I’ve worked with or learned from will be randomly paired into one-night-only duos, trios, and ensembles, meeting onstage for the first and last time, with many twists and surprises thrown into the performances as they unfold! WIT presents ten of Ottawa's virtuoso improv comedians for a night of games and scenes based on audience suggestions — but only one of them will make it to the end of the show and be crowned MAESTRO and awarded the coveted Canadian five-dollar bill.

Wanderlust is a fully improvised road trip across Canada—packed with heart, humor, and surprise. Two friends set out to explore new places, meet unforgettable characters, and discover what really happens when you travel with someone long enough to see their best and worst. From epic journeys toward the Arctic Circle to hilariously mundane stops like an IKEA gone wrong, this show celebrates the chaos and connection of life on the road.

No two performances are ever the same. Each night, the audience shapes the adventure—deciding where the travelers go and why they're heading there - and the actors define their relationship, how it evolves, and which moments will define their journey. Along the way, an inventive ensemble brings the world to life, using bold physicality and vocal creativity to transform the stage into highways, towns, wilderness, and everything in between. Fans of movement and dance will be captivated by a chorus whose expressive, entirely un-choreographed motion is seamlessly woven into the story.

With two new improvisers stepping into the lead roles each week, Wanderlust is never the same trip twice—an ever-changing, heartfelt exploration of connection, conflict, and discovery on the long road forward.

We kick off with a short, high-energy set where our current students’ names are drawn at random to perform alongside some of their favourite faculty and alumni.

Utility Infield:
Utility Infield is a baseball themed Improv duo that started in short form and now does a set called bleachers on the big stage, where these two skill utility Infielders play all the positions (and characters) of people in the bleachers at a game.

Zero Chemistry:
Zero Chemistry is an improv duo based in theatrical improv. We are both classically trained actors who want to build our scripted performance skills to improv. We use subtext, asides and world building to start a set with a little and expand it into a full blown universe.

The Improv Embassy All Stars
We'll close the night with the Improv Embassy All Stars, a team comprised of former and current faculty, bringing you unpredictable and fast-paced improv!

As Spooky Season descends and the nights stretch ever longer, something sinister stirs in the shadows. A classic mystery is about to unfold: a group of intriguing, often eccentric characters gathers in a remote, isolated location—each bringing secrets, suspicions, and stories of their own. But when one of them turns up dead, the tension rises. Whispers turn to accusations, alliances form and fracture, and paranoia takes hold. Someone in the room is a killer… and they’re not finished yet. Can you solve the mystery before the characters do—or will the truth stay buried?

All Fall Down is a completely improvised murder mystery in the spirit of Agatha Christie, with a devilish twist of Clue. No script, no safety—just sharp wit, high stakes, and a ticking clock. Every performance is unique. Every suspect has something to hide. And every fall begins with a secret.
