Let's improvise in the style of William Shakespeare! Improvised Shakespeare is a great go-to genre for short-form and long-form, and it gives you the tools to make *any* scene more poetic and theatrical. Even if you don't know your Hamlets from your Horatios, this three-hour workshop will get you up to speed as we trade subtext for dialog, knock down the fourth wall, and fill our scenes with poetry.
This workshop is appropriate for anyone who's taken improv 101 or has comparable experience. Max 12 attendees.
Peter Rogers has directed and performed improv for over twenty years, and performed in lots of runs of both scripted and improvised Shakespeare. (Also, long ago, he was an English major.) He currently facilitates improv classes at the Improv Embassy.
Please bring comfortable indoor shoes to wear in class.
