Workshop: Studio II (All Request Radio)

Amplify your made up concert performance!

A two hour session, in musical (vocal) improvisation, to create diverse stage pictures

  • Singing: for those who took Studio I or are already comfortable making up lyrics

  • Genre: Honouring and deepening the content connection to the musical offers

  • Content Collaboration: Solo, duets, and ensembles — with backup singers and cameos

  • Choreography: Improvised movement to support/complement the stage picture

We'll end with a musical improv jam to reinforce your skills

This musical (vocal) improvisational workshop is designed for those who already have vocal Shower Swagger from other music performances (improvised or otherwise)

“All Request Radio” is a comedic, improvised jukebox musical format, mimicking the popular radio show format of the 1900s. You are the DJ and the singer of random songs backed by randomized music

About Your Facilitator

Velvet Wells discovered improv and theatre games in high school and never looked back. They graduated from the Musical Improvisation conservatory at Second City (Toronto). They've succeeded at improv train the trainer sessions through The International Improv Station and Improv College, and subsequently facilitated improv and applied improv sessions across North America.
