A two hour primer, in musical (vocal) improvisation, to get anyone singing on stage as part of an ensemble

• Singing: for non-singers and other performers

• Defining: creating/supporting a shared chorus

• Committing: declaring and exploring “strong point-of-view” verses

• Team building: listening to each other and the music, and being present with each others ideas across pitch, tempo, and emotional energy

We'll end with a musical improv jam to reinforce your skills

About Your Facilitator

Velvet Wells discovered improv and theatre games in high school and never looked back. They graduated from the Musical Improvisation conservatory at Second City (Toronto). They've succeeded at improv train the trainer sessions through The International Improv Station and Improv College, and subsequently facilitated improv and applied improv sessions across North America.
