Suggestions are offers from the audience and in this workshop, we’ll look at how we can honour these offers like the gifts they are! We’ll practice pulling apart suggestions to find inspiration in even the simplest word, and work on initiating scenes that use our suggestions in rich, interesting ways.
Lead By: Claire Biddiscombe
Claire Biddiscombe (she/her) has been involved with improv for more than 20 years, dating back to her high school days playing in the Canadian Improv Games. She is currently the director and producer of Seeds, assistant director of Red Tape and a core cast member of Space Cowboy (Wayward Improvised Theatre), and co-producer and cast member of Filmed Before a Live Studio Audience: An Improvised 90s Sitcom (TGIF Improv, Ottawa Fringe 2024). Claire has trained with a variety of schools and teachers, both in Canada and abroad, and has performed and taught at festivals in Ottawa, Montreal, Florida, and online. She subscribes to the buffet approach to improv: trying a bit of everything, and coming back for more of what she loves.
